ABOUT JEREMY HUDSON

Performance Enhancement Specialist: B.Kin., CSCS, Posturologist, (Current studies include: Osteopathy, Functional Medicine & Functional Neurology)

Since starting his career as a personal trainer in 1999, Jeremy has sought education and training from the best in sport performance training, rehabilitation, movement, postural alignment, and functional medicine. Jeremy is recognized by his colleagues as an expert in many fields: speed and power training, with specific emphasis toward baseball and hockey performance, weight loss and body building program design, and most notably for his therapeutic corrective exercise approach. Jeremy’s profound depth of knowledge has labelled him as a trainer to the trainers and known amongst other personal trainers as, “the trainer that will fix you.”

What separates Jeremy from other trainers is his ability to identify individual factors that limit progress, whether it be nutrition, postural misalignment, movement dysfunction, or muscle imbalance.

Jeremy is a well-respected Performance Enhancement Specialist that integrates postural therapy, movement acquisition, performance training, osteopathy and functional nutrition to relieve pain, optimize health and fitness, and maximize sport performance.

After overcoming athletic failure and years of debilitating chronic back pain, Jeremy realized his purpose was to help the general public, athletes, and those in pain achieve their potential. Like many young Canadians, Jeremy aspired to be a professional hockey player. While hockey will always remain a dream, Jeremy did succeed as an athlete having played junior hockey, college and professional baseball, becoming a nationally ranked CIAU sprinter and achieving some world class personal performance records, which include a 46-inch vertical jump and 630lb safety squat. Jeremy accredits his athletic success to performance training. “I was never the fastest, strongest, or most skilled player on any of my teams growing up but once I started performance training that all changed.”

As a Kinesiology graduate from Western University, Certified Posturologist, and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Jeremy’s expertise and successes have led to featured presentations at national and international personal training conferences, national television, and fitness magazine and newspaper publications.

As a sport performance specialist, Jeremy has consulted for sport training companies, universities, sport organizations, and professional and amateur athletes, including NHL, CFL, MLB, NCAA, OHL, and Olympic athletes. Jeremy’s ability to help those in pain or with injury through corrective exercise and movement therapy is supported by referrals from various health care practitioners including massage therapists, athletic therapists, chiropractors, osteopaths, and physiotherapists.

Jeremy is the owner of HIPE (Hudson Institute of Performance Enhancement), catering to those who seek better health and fitness, pain relief, and athletic performance. HIPE also delivers premium quality education to aspiring and experienced personal trainers.

Jeremy lives in London, Ontario with his wife and three very active young boys. Between family and work, Jeremy is staying true to his competitive nature by training to compete in the World Masters Games in the 100m event, trying to break 90 in a round of golf and staying competitive against his growing boys. Also realizing that his studies will never end, Jeremy is currently studying osteopathic manual therapy, functional medicine and functional neurology.
